Creating a large, decentralized, and engaged community is an essential part in the success of SolLotto. Crucial to developing such a community is a system to distinguish and identify key contributors based on merit, who will ultimately play a role in the decision making for the platform itself. All roles in this community are earned and given out by team members only. Here is a bit more detail on what the roles mean and how to achieve any in particular:

Standard Community Roles

These rolls are given out for being a member of the community who has demonstrated their understanding of the project and has also made meaningful contributions.

WEN-OG

While we respect the hustle, people searching for quick airdrops or ‘free money’ are likely to be disappointed by the SolLotto community. If you distract from legitimate conversations with questions like “Wen OG” or “How to OG”, you may earn the “WEN-OG” role which is guaranteed to disqualify you from any airdrop if and when there is one. Like all roles in SolLotto, this role is not permanent. A change to your behavior can still earn you a place in the community.

MEMBER

Where you start when you enter the SolLotto community. Make sure to read the announcements, FAQs, and all key information before diving into other channels!

INITIATES

SolLotto initiates are just that, a new initiate to the SolLotto family. While SolLotto Initiate is the lowest positive role you can achieve, it is a firm starting place on your way to the Slot Gang. The SolLotto Initiate role can be nominated for consideration by moderators as well as directly assigned by any member of the core SolLotto team.

MEME LORDS

Meme Lords have demonstrated an ability to capture the essence of a message and bottle it into a quickly digestible and hilarious form. Generic “I want OG” memes need not apply, we are only looking for content centered around SolLotto/lotteries. Like all roles, there are likely to be some talented meme-lords in here who we just haven’t crossed paths with yet! This role can be nominated for consideration by moderators as well as directly assigned by any member of the core SolLotto team.

ARTISTS

When we need to take our designs to the next level, these SolLotto community members have demonstrated a unique ability to use their impressive graphic design skills to improve the image of the SolLotto brand. The SolLotto Artists role can be nominated for consideration by moderators as well as directly assigned by any member of the core SolLotto team.

SLOT GANG

While the name is a joke, being a member of the SLOT Gang certainly isn’t. These members have demonstrated they are valuable assets to the SolLotto community. Some are artists, some are meme lords, and some have made meaningful contributions to the community by educating others or suggesting improvements in a constructive way. The SolLotto ‘SLOT Gang’ role can be nominated for consideration by moderators as well as directly assigned by any member of the core SolLotto team. You can also earn the SLOT Gang role by participating in limited-time contests and our weekly quizzes.

OG

The coveted OG role is the highest role an ordinary member of the SolLotto community can achieve. Like the SLOT Gang, the exact way you earn the OG role can vary, but one thing all OGs have in common is they have demonstrated significant value to the SolLotto community. In addition to the core SolLotto team manually selecting new OGs, our OG community votes once a week to decide which of the SLOT Gang members deserve a promotion. You can also earn the OG role by participating in limited-time contests and our weekly quizzes.

Moderators (10+ people)

Our moderators go the extra mile to make sure the SolLotto community is a fun, educational, and welcoming group in the Solana ecosystem. Additionally, our moderators will be tasked with organizing some of the coolest events in the space. If you have the ability to successfully organize a popular event you can join our moderator team too! This role is great for people with experience in organizing online competitions and gaming meetups. TFT, PUBG, COD, Stumble Guys, Among Us, Educational Quizzes etc.. Submit event ideas to our main Event Organizer @somedimsum to be considered! If the event happens we’ll let you know and award you the moderator role to help us organize it! We are looking for consistency, clear communication, and passion from our moderators- if that sounds like you and you have an idea for an event, please apply!

SOLEGENDS (unlimited)

Solegends is a role reserved exclusively for legends of the Solana community. These people have significantly contributed to the progress and development of the Solana ecosystem. We are honored to have these members with us and greatly appreciate the support and warm welcome the community has provided to SolLotto! We encourage all Solegends to change their username to include their community name so other members of the SolLotto community can learn more and check it out!

NEW SKILL-BASED ROLES

We greatly appreciate the community members who are going the extra mile to donate their time and talents to helping make SolLotto a success. To say thank you, we’re creating new Skill-Based roles to recognize these key contributors to our community. These skill roles will be granted exclusively to those who have made a meaningful contribution to SolLotto, they are not a reflection of your abilities overall. This is something that will happen over many years. We invite everyone to try out or refer a friend that could fit one of these skilled roles. If you refer a friend that receives a skilled role, you will also be given OG for introducing them to the SolLotto community.

Meme Machines (3–5 people)

Our meme machines churn out 100% unique meme content that is focused on spreading awareness about SolLotto! Meme Machines don’t just create memes, they create quality memes that all members of our community can share on their social media. To apply to be a meme-machine, you must first achieve the meme-lord status. Continue posting your memes in the #meme-lords channel and you will be considered for the Meme Machines role.

Charity Vetters (10–15 people)

Charity vetters comb through the reports and research provided by organizations that rank charities effectiveness in order to provide us with excellent suggestions for inclusion on the SolLotto platform. Suggesting organizations that rank other charities in a measurement and/or scientific way can also qualify you for this role. We are looking for charities that donate the majority of each dollar to the cause they are working towards. We also give additional weight to charities who’s causes will provide the biggest impact on the greatest number of people. To suggest a charity and be considered for this role, submit your Charity suggestion along with your reasoning, some key statistics (ie. how much of each dollar is donated) and any relevant links in the #charity-suggestions channel.

Community Designers (5–15 people)

This role is awarded to people who submit winning designs to our design competitions. Winners must show a high skill-level and understanding of designing for a brand. All designs we use in public materials or on Twitter will also be rewarded. Share your designs and what they are intended to be used for in our #designer-applications channel

Social Media Promoters (2–3 people)

This role is only for social media influencers that have an existing audience. This role will help take information from the discord server and put it out on Twitter, Telegram, Instagram, Tiktok, etc. People applying for this role should have their own accounts with at least 5000+ followers and should be consistently active with tweets about SolLotto. There is no submission process for this role, we must notice your continued support over a period of a few months.

Community Content Creators (20+ people)

Anyone who has an existing Blog, Youtube, Twitch, Medium, Hive, or other publication etc.. can get this role simply by sharing our content on their server consistently and educating their audience about SolLotto. This is great for growing your audience from other members of the SolLotto community and we will actively highlight the best creators.

One idea on how to earn this role is to share the latest SolLotto updates with your audience as we publish them. Another idea on how to earn this role is to write or talk about SolLotto and how it could work with other projects in the Solana ecosystem. A third idea is to write a weekly update of what is happening in the SolLotto community.

Submit your content in #community-content on a consistent basis and you will most likely earn this role — please allow 2–3 weeks of consistently posting your new content before this role is confirmed! Writers consistently covering SolLotto can also post their blog for review in the #writer-applications channel and Streamers can post a link to their stream in the #streamer-applications channel

Community Videographers / Motion Graphic Artists (5–10 people)

This role requires a submission of video content that can be utilized by the SolLotto team. Candidates can create their own videos about SolLotto, edit existing materials already released, create new promotions we have requested, or help edit videos for one of our content creators/streamers. There will also be video contests, for example our first competition will be creating a new demo video of the SolLotto Pick 6 Lottery process! The key to earning this role is to make your video fun, engaging and unique while staying on brand! We receive many low quality submissions of stock videos with the SolLotto logo dropped in — these will not qualify for any role, especially if they do not use our official logo! Please be very professional in your submissions in order to be considered. The best place to submit this is on YouTube and posting the link in #videographer-applications

Solana Educators (3–5 people)

This role is given to SolLotto community members who create tutorials, guides, and project evaluations for other projects in the Solana ecosystem. The submission should include a SolLotto watermark, SolLotto branded intro, or similar SolLotto branding. We will post this content on the SolLotto Youtube, Medium, and/or other official SolLotto socials. We encourage all educators to make a video version of the tutorial, guide, or project evaluation and will also reward the “Community Videographer” role for quality video submissions. If you need help making it into a video, feel free to contact an existing videographer and they can earn the videographer role! This is a very important role to us so the quality of the content you produce must be very high. One request is a tutorial on staking with Solfarm or Marinade.Finance. To submit your content, post a link to it in the #educator-applications channel

Community Coders (15 people)

Community Coder is an incredibly important role for us at SolLotto and one of the centerpieces of a successful project that is able to release consistent upgrades. We have so many things to build and a limited number of resources. Succeeding at this role is also a path to joining the core team on a long term basis. If you are interested in helping out with everything coding, from websites to smart contracts, please share your past experience in #developer-applications
